Getting to Liverpool

Liverpool is served by two International Airports with connections across the world.

Liverpool John Lennon Airport

Liverpool John Lennon Airport Connects Liverpool city centre with over 70 destinations across the UK, Europe and Africa. Nine carriers operate from the airport including Wizz Air, Blue Air, Flybe and Widerøe, and it is also a base for both Ryanair and easyJet.

With regular bus services to and from Liverpool John Lennon Airport travelling by bus is a quick and efficient way to start your journey.

Arriva have recently relaunched their 500 bus service and is now the fastest bus service to the Airport and Liverpool city centre (including Great Charlotte Street for Lime Street Rail Station). Buses operate every 30 minutes between 4am and Midnight every day.

Manchester Airport

Manchester Airport is just 45 minutes from Liverpool city centre and offers many direct long haul routes in to the North West. Carriers include British Airways, Emirates, Etihad and KLM.

There are excellent train links to take you from Manchester Airport to Liverpool City Centre with trains departing every half an hour. The station is located at the heart of the airport campus with moving walkways throughout, it should take no more than 5 – 15 minutes to get to and from the terminals.

Coach services operate daily from the Manchester Airport Station, the integrated transport hub at the heart of the airport. All three airport terminals are easily accessible using the covered Skylink walkways. Services to the airport operate daily from a range of pick-up points across the UK, direct to the airport door.

By Road

Liverpool is very well-connected to several UK motorways, from the M6 take the M62, M58 or M56 direct to the destination.

By Train

Liverpool Lime Street Station is the city’s mainline railway station located in the heart of Liverpool City Centre.
